Spicy basil squidIngredients

Basil paste
- 1 cup basil leaves
- 1 hot green pepper
- 1 Garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup water
Gravy
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 Thai red chilli
- Salt and pepper
Steps
- With the help of a grinder make a fine paste of all the ingredients required for basil paste.
- Heat some oil in a pan and add garlic and Thai red chillies. Saute them for a bit.
- Then add the squid and lightly saute. You don't want the squid to brown.
- Now add the basil paste to the sqiud mixture in the pan and mix well.
- At this step add salt and pepper according to taste.
- Cover and cook for 10-15 min until basil is cooked and all the flavours are combined.
- At this moment you can either reduce it to have a thick sauce or add some water to achieve your desired consistency.
- This dish is best served with warm rice. You can garnish it with some Thai red chillies.
