Za'atar mushroom

Ingredients

Baked Za'atar Mushroom

  • 1 Portobello mushroom
  • 1 tsp Za'atar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp shredded cheese (optional)
  • Few sliced Serano peppers (optional)

Pesto Egg

  • 1 tsp pesto
  • 1 egg
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Blanched Beans

  • 1 bowl green beans
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Steps

Baked Za'atar Mushroom

  • Preheat the oven to 450 F. Prep the mushroom by removing the stem and remove excess water. We like to chop the stem and mix it with the spice mixture below.
  • In a bowl mix Za'atar, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. You can skip the oil if the Za'atar is already soaked in oil.
  • Spread the spice mixture over the mushroom, cover it with Aluminum foil. Bake it at 450 F for 10 min.

Pesto Egg

  • In a pan heat 1 tsp of oil, add the pesto and crack an egg over it.
  • Cook it according to your preference, sprinkle salt and pepper to your taste.

Blanched Beans

  • In a large container add water and bring it to boil
  • Add beans and boil it for 3-5 minutes and cool it by keeping it under running cold water. Remove excess water with a paper towel.
  • In a pan, heat butter, add salt and pepper. Add the beans, toss it a bit and you get delicious blanched beans.
